Arias provided construction materials testing services for the improvements to West Rosillo Tributary between FM 78 and Ackerman Road. Plans are to alleviate flooding during an ultimate development 1% annual chance (100-year) storm event in the City of Kirby, Bexar County, Texas. The improvements will consist of deepening and widening the West Rosillo Tributary, as well as roadway reconstruction at six locations crossing the tributary: Old Seguin, Starfire, Redding, Kirby, Binz-Engleman, and Ackerman. The roadway reconstruction will consist of bridge crossings at Old Seguin, Binz-Engleman, and Ackerman, concrete arch-span culverts at Starfire, and multiple box culverts at Redding and Kirby. The project also includes relocation of City of Kirby water and wastewater mains at the roadway crossings throughout the project limits. In addition, relocation of existing CPS Energy gas mains will be required as part of the project.
